Parking alert for Los Altos/ Uncommon Threads

Please note that the Rotary Fine Arts Show is also taking place on May 14 & 15 (Saturday & Sunday) in downtown Los Altos, and therefore finding parking will take longer than usual. To make your visit easier, please come on Friday if you can, or come early, carpool or take public transportation. Uncommon Threads has two great free one-skein patterns that you won’t want to miss!

Just Two More Weeks!

We're continuing our preparations for the Hop. All the stores are getting their one-skein projects together -- but this year, you'll have to visit each shop to see the projects! Don't worry, though. That just means you'll have a chance to enter and win one of the daily raffles at each shop you visit. So far we have 24 sponsors (see the Sponsor page) that have generously donated products to make prize packages that you'll have to see to believe.

2011 Shop Hop Hours

This year's hour for the shop hop are: Friday, May 13th 10am to 7pm, Saturday, May 14th 10am to 6pm and Sunday, May 15th 10am to 4pm.

This year we're going to have some really great raffle prizes. Each store will have daily raffles, so there are a total of 36 chances to win fabulous prizes from our favorite companies. Check the Sponsors page or take a look at the list of sponsors on the right side of this blog. Prizes include patterns and yarn.

Dates for 2011 Shop Hop

This year, the Peninsula to Pier Shop Hop will be Friday through Sunday, May 13-15. The shops and map are up on the website, so check out what's new this year.

We will have more information about the theme and other new stuff soon, so keep checking back!

Shop Hop News

Well, it's September and that's usually Shop Hop month, but this year we had so many things we wanted to do that we are going to be holding off until May 2011 for the Peninsula to Pier LYS Hop.

Hope you can wait until then to see all we have planned! Of course, you can visit your local yarn shops any time, and the beginning of fall is a great time to go and check out all of the new yarn and patterns.

It's the last day of the 2009 Shop Hop, so make sure you get all of the stamps and turn in your passport to be eligible for the prize drawing.

Day One Report

I know that at least 3 people have turned in completed passports after just one day! And everyone seems to be having fun. Two days left!

Start your engines! Or get on the bus...

The shop hop starts tomorrow at 10am sharp! We're all ready with our best yarn and project ideas.
Go to all eleven shops, get your passport stamped, and turn it in (signed and addressed!) at the last shop you visit to become eligible for the drawing and a chance to win a $400 First Prize or a $250 Second Prize gift certificate for the participating shop of your choice.

Are You Ready?

It's the final countdown...the hop starts Friday. Get your friends together and plan your trip through the South Bay and Monterey Bay areas. The shops are ready with their patterns and yarn. We can't wait!
